Arsenal Vs Manchester United Liveblog

By: Rob | January 31st, 2010

For some people of a certain age (i.e to young to remember Blackburn or Liverpool as the best teams in England, but coming of age before the Chelsea revolution, so a bit younger than me) this is the big match of the season.

Post Arsene Wenger, Arsenal have become one of the dominent forces in English football and in the late 90s and early 00s the rivalry was intense – there seemed to be a genuine dislike of one another.

That antipathy has cooled – although Wenger stuck the boot into Fletcher this week – but this season, this is an absolutely huge fixture. Arsenal are currently amidst a very tough run of fixtures – they have Chelsea next after United, and Liverpool after that – but if they can get points from these games, they are in genuine contention for the title.

United meanwhile, also cannot afford to lose points to a direct rival if they want to keep in touching distance of Chelsea. A draw isn’t great for either side. And so, below you’ll find a liveblog, where we can happily discuss and follow the game, and indeed, all the other Premier League stories from the weekend. See you just before 4pm GMT.

Hi , when viewing at your site i see some sort of weird codes all over the page, in case it’s important I just thought I’d let you know it says this with all sorts of other stuff after it: “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent in wp-settings.php line 12″

Now that 59% of the supporters are saying that they are likely not to get a new season card, which is the record in the premier league i can’t imagine what will become with the club, it’s all about profit for the Glazer family, they keep forgetting that the fans are not happy and that is the most important thing imo.
