Non Chelsea-related post: Well, not really. We play Voyeur's men in a little more than a week.

Quite hilarious advert from the Arsenal in support of their fundraising campaign this term. Cesc as a cute and cuddly pony is spot on; Theo as a lion, not so much. Never thought I'd ...

Earlier in the week, both the Guardian and Independent -- reputable members of the British media in my view -- claimed Chelsea were ready to throw around £40 million at Atletico Madrid for striker Sergio Aguero in the January transfer window.

Wolves go to Stamford Bridge on Saturday at 3:00 for an unenviable first game after dropping into the relegation zone. In this two horse race Wolves are priced at 18/1 for success which gives a scary impression of the task in hand.

Chelsea conceded a goal at home in their first ...

So how are you all after the international break? Miss watching our team lose and play horribly? Yeah me too. Luckily however this weekend we're playing some neighbors who are in much the same habit, managed by dear old Big Sam (maybe that was too many adjectives for one guy?). Blackburn are on a run of ten straight losses in away games, however they haven't lost at the Reebok
since 2001 (though really statistics like that don't mean that much). To see a few more meaningless statistics mixed in with some important ones, see the BBC's preview.
It should be a fairly even game, and has the potential to be quite dismal. Both sides are essentially full strength (Bolton are missing out on Sean Davis and Joey O'Brien), but really Bolton's full strength is nothing to talk about. Jlloyd Samuel, whose form this season has been dubious at best, returns to us from his silly suspension. As you may be able to tell I am still in a bad mood from our last three games.

Haven't done a weekend preview in a while, and I thought that it was time to get back into the mix and have a look at what games are going down over the weekend. At least one big game as Liverpool take on Manchester City, in a game that could prove pivotal in terms of who makes the Champions League next season.
Elsewhere all of the Big Four actually play on a Saturday for once, and there are absolutely plenty of games to look forward too.
But let us start with that game between Liverpool and Manchester City. Steven Gerrard has sworn he'll be fit (he always seems to get better at the end of international breaks, no?) while Rafa Benitez may finally give Alberto Aquilani his first start in a Liverpool shirt. At the end of November.

Position: 8th, 5-2-5 (17 points, +1 goal differential)
Recent Form: DWLDL
Home Form: 4-1-1
Last Meeting: Arsenal 0-Sunderland 0 (2/21/09)
Back in action at the Stadium of Light tomorrow, for what I expect to be a very tricky match.
