The EPL Fantasy Football league is back, with a twist.

By: Rob | July 12th, 2010

Cesc_Fabregas_world cupSo apparently, Cesc, left, won some trophy or other yesterday? Whatever. The Premier League is on its way back, and the big question is – are you going to pick Cesc to help you lift the most important trophy of all? The EPL Offside’s Fantasy League Cup?

This season its back with a twist, thanks to the official Premier League site. This year, everyone enters into a league, and then every week everyone in the league is paired with someone else and you outscore them to win. So its a proper league table.

So first click here, then enter a team, and then The code to join the league is 12531-5022 – and everyone is welcome. My team is Round the Bendtner, post in the comments as to who you are.

With the new format, I plan to update every week, and hopefully we’ll all feel a community when my inevitable mid table run stutters to mean my season is over by Christmas just like [insert name of mid table club you don't like]

hey rob, i just thought i should let you know that the head to head league has always been an option in the fantasy game on the premier league site. the other choice is the classic league where the total points matter,

Of course, based on my years of living in East Ham, the name of my team is “Totally_Hammered”. Bit of a hard job picking any WHU players who had any statistics that didn’t suck.

My team is “Spur of the Moment”, which I think is a very fitting name, considering that I just signed up on the spur of the moment as well :)

By the way, I am very disappointed that I can only have 3 spurs on my team….

(although, to be fair, it could just be the game telling me not to get my hopes up TOO high this year)
