Sack Race Been Won (and not by Keegan!)

Curbishley has walked awayAlan Curbishley has resigned as manager of West Ham United after feeling he was “only keeping the seat warm for Slavin Billic”. Talk has been all season that the former Croatia and West Ham defender is going to be taking over at Upton Park, and it seems that after the transfer window, and sale of a couple of West Ham players its been too much for the former Charlton man.

West Ham fans have been booing Curbs all season long, supposedly because West Ham’s football has been too dull. The club has however enjoyed its best ever start to a Premier League season, including a 2-1 win against Wigan, and a 4-1 win against Blackburn Rovers.

As West Ham Manager he played 71 games and won 28.

Good news possibly for England, if Croatia’s manager is poached by the Hammers.
