    When he was signed for Spurs he was ‘The next big young player’ but he hasn’t lived up to that. I wouldn’t say he was *that* bad though. So its probably a coincidence.

    Meaningless. There is not another left back on the planet as dangerous as he is going forward (not hyperbole), and he’s not half bad on defense either.
