The less said about this one the better. But something must be said.
Was there anything more inevitable than that result? If you did not envision a Blackburn goal, you haven't been watching the famous CFC this season. After all, we still haven't won in that damned shirt - like that egregious garment can be played for that display.

I am writing this from the Vegas airport (cheers to you, McCarran Airport, for free wireless -- if only every airport followed your lead), on the heels of what could conservatively be called a long final night in Sin City, so please be forgiving of any errors or typos. Let's get to the ratings:

Moving forward, as fast as we possibly can, from Tuesday. Sunday marks the beginning of a three-game stretch in seven days that will undoubtedly go a far, far way in deciding the next Premier League champion. It all starts at Ewood Park, always an uncomfortable venue.

It's often said that the mark of a great team is its ability to deal with adversity. The knock against Arsenal the past couple of seasons (which was probably correct) is that we looked great against weaker sides that didn't put up much of a fight, but once things started going badly for us we didn't have the mental toughness to overcome it and get the result. I think we've seen this start to change this season, and today's match was another piece of evidence in that vein.

Wolves gained an excellent point at Villa at lunchtime, then saw Hull and Burnley concede late goals in the afternoon, to leave the league table looking rosier than it has all season and survival in the top flight looking very much on. Such was the performance today Wolves were disappointed ...

As a fan you don't want to be surprised by a win against a club that you should beat. Though with Sunderland's form recently it's more like watching Millwall try to beat anyone. Or just watching Leeds is the same way. Putting up three goals on Birmingham City is very ...
