Everton sign Saha
By: Rob | August 29th, 2008
Everton have taken constantly-injured Manchester United striker Louis Saha off thier hands in another undisclosed fee transfer. The Toffees who had added worryingly little to thier side in the summer will be hoping the French striker can refind the form that caused United to panicbuy him in the first place.
Its probably fair to say Saha’s time at United was a little up and down – the striker was often injured, and never set Old Trafford alight, and although a decent servant for the club, won’t go down as one of Fergie’s great buys.
At 30 it makes sense for the ex-Fulham man to be moving on, and Everton is a good club for him to be at, as long as he can keep fit.
Saha got 42 goals in 124 appearences at United,

Damn. There were PSG rumors earlier in the window and I was REALLY hoping he was headed back to France along with Makelele and Giuly.

PSG obviously wanted to save money on medical costs.

What a wonderful signing for all you Evertonians distraught at not signing Alan Smith. I understand they have named a treatment table after him: its called the “Luis Saha Heavy Duty” model.
