Wright-Phillips back at Manchester City

SWP back at CitehShaun Wright-Phillips has according to Sky Sports, completed a move back to Eastlands from Chelsea, for an undisclosed fee.

Wright-Phillips joined Premiership runner-up Chelsea in 2005, after a startlingly good couple of seasons at Man City. The winger however struggled to get a good run in the team under Jose Mourinho and Avram Grant, and the move back to Manchester has long been mooted.

City manager, Mark Hughes, has also said he’s a big admirer of the sometimes-England man.

I’ve always admired him and he’s certainly been a target of mine since I came to the football club. To actually secure the deal and bring Shaun back home is a fantastic coup for us and I’m sure the supporters will be just as excited as we are to have him back at Manchester City
