Ricky Kaká going nowhere

By: Rob | January 19th, 2009

Not coming to ManchesterConspiricy theories abound, as Silvio Berlusconi has announced that he has successfully kept Ricky Kaká in Milan. Indeed, you may recall the rumours of a couple of days ago, that this whole £100m business was started by Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi to present himself in a better light?

Well, it would seem his mission has been accomplished. Of course the Berlusconi is switching it around no wby saying how admirable it is that Kaká has turned down so much money – but was the money ever even on the table?

Kaká never seemed interested in the move really – and as exciting as the idea of seeing him over here is, it is admirable if he has turned down that much money.

Manchester City meanwhile are claiming that Kaká was never actually involved in the discussions, and that contray to reports, City and Milan never agreed a fee.

David Beckham had, hours earlier predicted the Brazilian would stay at the San Siro “Ricardo doesn’t need my advice” the former England captain said “he loves Milan. I don’t think he will leave.”

Will this put an end to the whole saga?

Sounds like City are trying to cover their tracks, so to speak. There have been so many rumours regarding the fee that really, none of us will ever really know what sort of cash was offered. City’s statement that they terminated negotiations is typical of any club whose advances have been rebuffed by the player they were pursuing.

Kaka has to be praised for turning down the move, he’s probably one of the few players in the world who’d have turned down such an offer.

Well, that was a predictable outcome. At least it madethe Janaury transfer window mildly more exciting than usual. I reckon they’re going to try and sign Messi next!

Definitely Wayne. I am actually happy Kaka is staying at Milan. It has been too absurd for me from the start.

The end, it should have been ended. Money is not anything, especially for Kaka.

Check AC Milan Fitures, we will see how Kaka play in the Milan vs Hannover 96.
