City line Cesc, El Nino…and Cristiano Ronaldo

By: Rob | September 2nd, 2008

CR7 4 City?As the world recovers from the shock of Manchetser City’s buyout and subsequent buying of Robinho, the new owners have outlined the players that they want to buy to make Manchester City the biggest club in the world. Thier hitlist contains some of the EPL’s biggest stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, we’ll see in Janruary if he’s serious

Them are the words of Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim. He announced that his new club would bid £135m for the Portuguese. David Villa, Fernando Torres, Fat Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Francesc Fábregas are also on the list in City’s quest to form a ‘Dream Team’ which would make even Real Madrid’s Zidane/Beckham/Figo/Makélélé midfield look stupid.

Incredible times for Manchester City fans, even though they’ll struggle to get those transfers through. The ambition of the club has absolutely skyrocketed.

Rob…sure, sure…this is all fine and dandy but I think they need a solid team of bloggers – say a £1-2m and we’ll do just fine. LOL

Honestly, this sport has become so peculiar. £135m is “out there”

135 does just seem like a random number pulled out of the air.

This is what happens when rich Saudis buy clubs, when they make $500 a second.

This is scary. I think that they think they can take over the world or something. But they can’t have El Nino. But hey, give them Henry, he’ll be coaching soon anyway.

Why on Earth would a dream team in this day and age include ‘fat’ Ronaldo and, as much as I love him, a 31-year-old Thierry Henry? Madness.

I don’t see them getting Fábregas, Torres or C-Ron but you gotta admire the ambition if nothing else.

men with money are not known for their patience and i dont think they are die-hard football fans either like(roman abrahamikovic)their comments verify this..It takes a lot of time & toil to build a team like the big four..you gotta have a history and these guys are not too sensible they keep naming offensive players so they believe there defence is good enough…
