Fábregas Wants Back To Barca?

Cesc celebrates his goal at the weekendArsenal Midfielder Cesc Fábregas has dropped the biggest hint yet that he wants to go back to Barcelona, and it could be as early as next season. The Catalan Kid was talking to Spanish Radio in the build up to their internationals over the next week. Talk quickly came up about when Fábregas might come back to Spain.

“I decided to give my all for Arsenal and I’m not the kind of person to just give up on things just like that, I would like to try to win more titles here at Arsenal, although next season we’ll see. It would be a dream to return to Barcelona one day.”

The suggestion within that text is that Cesc is thinking about it as early as next season. Arsenal have of course been worried about the happiness of their midfield talisman after his close friends Matthieu Flamini and Aliakander Hleb left Arsenal in the summer to join AC Milan and Barcelona respectively.

Fábregas left Barcelona when he was just 16, and has always sounded eternally greatful to Arséne Wenger in interviews, and has always sounded loyal to the club. But there has always been a sneaking feeling that he won’t be Arsenal’s forever.

His importance to Arsenal can’t really be overstated. To me he’s one of, if not the, best player in the EPL at the moment. He makes Arsenal tick, they stutter without him. As a neutral, I’d be very dissapointed to see Fábregas leave for Spain, where I’d see alot less of his brilliance.

Here’s hoping he stays.

Despite all the brilliant passes and wonderful goals, the best bit is just after the 3:00 mark, when Arsene Wenger clearly thinks he’s going to get a hug from young Cesc.

He should go back, if only to give that Jack Wilshire a shot.

It would be amazing if Cesc went back to Barca. A true dream come true and future replacment of Xavi. They play so much alike and Xavi could pass on his huge experience.
It was very funny when Arsene though he was gonna get a hug and Cesc ran right past him!

I felt bad for wenger there…its a very human moment

I think that part of the reason arsene refuses to buy established players is because he enjoys fostering players and watching them succeed that much more, the joy on his face in those clips is palpable.

I doubt he would come to Barca while Xavi is still in his prime. I think he will come in about 2 or 3 years when Xavi is starting to get older. If he did come next season, it’d be interesting to see where he played.
