By: Wayne Farry | Comments No Comments

Okay, so if you’re being exact, I am talking about the Championship here, but by August it’ll all be very very relevant.
Basically, we all know that Wolverhampton Wanderers are already promoted. But the final automatic spot is still up for grabs, as is one playoff place. The Championship is a wonderful league, and one which [...]

Remember back ten years ago, when Michael Owen was the Saviour of English football? Even more than El Becks, as he was not yet known, Owen was the future. A freescoring young player with skill, pace, it seemed inevitable he would pass Bobby Charlton’s goals record, and be in the running for Peter Shilton’s caps [...]

The Simple difference between Man United and The Rest

By: Rob | Comments 7 Comments

Andrei Arshavin’s four goals last night pretty much signed sealed and delivered the Premier League title to Manchester, from Russia, with love. Man United play tonight against Portsmouth, and while this post will probably look really stupid if they lose (especially if they get beat 4-0 or something), the title really is theirs to throw [...]

Is Berbatov the new Veron?

By: Rob | Comments 6 Comments

Ah Juan Sebastian Veron. After winning Serie A with Lazio, Sir Alex Ferguson bought him, convinced he was the last piece of a jigsaw needed to take Man United to a whole other level. It didn’t really work out that way. Veron looked fine in Europe where he got time on the ball, but suffered [...]

Confession Box: Have you ever cheered for a rival club?

By: Rob | Comments 9 Comments

So Sunday saw Everton beat Manchester United on penalties, and progressing to the FA Cup final. As Phil Jagielka struck his penalty, it struck me that it was an odd game for Liverpool fans to be watching – thier inter-city rivals with thier big historical rivals, did they just not care about the game, or [...]

He’s got an awful lot of stick this season, Arsene Wenger. There was even talk during the dark winter period that the man who’s job saftey is only second to Alex Ferguson might be soon to part company with Arsenal.
To be fair the dismal run that saw them briefly fall out of the top four [...]
